Westfield Defeats Lady Dogs

The Varsity Girls Basketball Team lost to conference foe Westfield on Saturday night, 44-52.  The Dogs got off to a slow start, trailing the Rocks by 3 after the first quarter, 8-11.  The Rocks continued to do a great job in the second quarter finding the open player and crashing the offensive boards.  The Rocks entered the half up, by 10, 16-26.  The Dogs regrouped and came out strong in the second half playing the Rocks tough.  The Dogs outscored the Rocks by two in the  third quarter with a balanced scoring attack.  The Dogs continued to play good defense in the fourth quarter forcing several Rocks' turnovers and forcing several late Rocks' time outs to slow the Dogs' run late in the game.  The Dogs should be very proud of their second half effort and their ability to turn the game around against a very solid Westfield squad.

Reilly Olmstead scored a team high 15 points.  Aliyah Walker scored 8 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.

The Dogs will face Arsenal Tech on Wednesday night – it's Senior Night.  Come out and recognize seniors Hannah Linville, Chazney Jones and Isabella Zoog!
