Irish Top Bulldogs

The Varsity Girls Basketball Team lost to Cathedral Friday night, 40-45.  It was a hard fought game as the teams traded baskets throughout the night.  With just under a minute to play, the Dogs trailed by one, 40-41.  The Dogs had opportunities to take the lead, but Cathedral forced several costly turnovers in the final seconds of action.  Cathedral hit critical free throws to secure the win.

The Dogs had three players in double figures.  Reilly Olmstead scored a team high 12 points and grabbed 6 rebounds.  Zhane Roper scored 11 points and pulled down 4 boards. Aliyah Walker, had a double-double with 10 points and 17 boards.  Devin Courtney chipped in 7 points and 4 rebounds.  Hannah Linville played tenacious D on Cathedral's top scorer holding her under her season average.

The Dogs will play home tomorrow night against Martinsville.  Come out and support your Dogs!
