Brownsburg Competed Twice over the Weekend

Brownsburg travelled to Zionsville for a HCC match up with the Eagles Friday.  The Bulldogs got off to a great start leading 10-8 after one quarter.  Balanced scoring and good team defense kept  the Dogs in the game as 8 different players scored during the contest.  A difficult 3rd quarter put the visiting Bulldogs in a deficit but they came roaring back to close the lead to 34-32 with just over 4 minutes remaining.  However the Bulldogs could not pull off the victory over the Eagles.

Brownsburg travelled to Terre Haute South on Saturday with preparation for sectionals in mind.  Terre Haute South is one of the favorites in Sectional 12.  Although the Bulldogs didn't leave with the victory, they found some confidence in their abilities to compete with some of the state's best teams this weekend.  Trailing by one point at half after an Adrian Chapman buzzer beater, the Dogs played a great 3rd quarter to take a 1 point lead going into the 4th.  A back and forth battle saw the lead change on almost every possession, but Terre Haute South scored late to seal a 58-55 victory on their Homecoming night.  Jacarr Boone had a great evening just missing a double double with 16 points and 9 rebounds.  Jimmy Simms had his best game of the season with 14 points.
