Bulldogs go 0-2 Over the Weekend

On Friday Brownsburg travelled to Warren Central to take on the Warriors.  Brownsburg came out hot, taking a 13-7 first quarter lead.  Aggressive defense and efficient offense keyed a good first quarter.  The Dogs saw the host warriors rally to score 17 second quarter points and take a 1 point halftime lead.  With a minute left to play the Dogs trailed by 2 but could not find the net to finish off a victory.  Excellent effort and teamwork kept the Dogs  in position for victory.  The team was led by Landon Hall and Jacarr Boone in scoring and Cameron Alford was the leading rebounder.

Saturday Afternoon Brownsburg hosted the BSN Shootout in Varsity Fieldhouse.  Covington battled Indianapolis Manual in the opener before losing a close game.  3A state ranked Northwood took on HCC defending champion Fishers.  Both teams battled in a hard fought competition with Fishers prevailing in an exciting game.  The Dogs took on Fort Wayne Southside in the nightcap.  While FW South arrived at VFH with a high caliber team, the Dogs battled from the start taking a quick lead.  Transition defense and turnovers hurt the dogs again in the second quarter but as always the Dogs made a furious rally never hanging their heads.  In a back and forth second half with both teams scoring over 70 points, the Dogs could not quite recover from the early deficit falling 77-74.  Landon Hall led the team with 28 points, but the fourth quarter lineup of Alford, Hall, Kesterson, Rozzi, and Boone put forth a great effort to challenge a talented Southside team from Fort Wayne.  The Dogs take on Decatur Central and Lebanon in two road contests this weekend
