Rocks and Hounds Defeat Bulldogs

The boys basketball team took on Westfield Friday in a HCC matchup. Both teams sported the same warm up T-Shirt for Coaches vs Cancer night. The Bulldogs jumped to an early 12-9 lead timely shooting and forcing turnovers. The second quarter saw the Bulldogs continue to hold the Rocks defensively but encounter scoring problems of their own. Trailing by 2 points at half and 1 point going into the fourth, the Dogs battled every second only to see Westfield connect on 11 of 13 free throws to hold on for the win. The Dogs had several good contributions to put the team in position to win Friday. Big thank you to the students, fans and families who supported efforts to raise awareness for Wheeler Mission and Coaches vs Cancer.

The Bulldogs got a big team effort Saturday taking on the visiting Carmel Greyhounds. 10 different Bulldogs scored and one night after struggling from the foul line, the Bulldogs went a perfect 8-8. Both teams struggled to score and the Dogs held a high scoring Carmel team to 30 points through 3 quarters. In the end, Carmel's strength and size won out. The team can be very proud of the effort and contributions made by all team members. The Bulldogs will take on Zionsville Friday with a trip to Terre Haute South scheduled for Saturday
