Bulldogs Hand Athenians a loss

Last Saturday night the varsity boys' basketball team defeated the Crawfordsville Athenians for their second win in a row.  The Dogs were patient in the first half showing poise as the Athenians battled.  The Bulldogs took a 29-22 lead at the half.  The Dogs' unselfishness, depth, strength, and quickness took its toll on Crawfordsville in the second half.  The Dogs dished out 18 assists on the night.  Dutra passed five assists; Gerald Harney passed out four assists; Xavier Ringo dished out six assists.  Chase Dutra played a solid defensive game gaining six deflections on the night.  Jaraan Lands owned the boards with seven rebounds while Gerald Harney hustled for six more.  K.J. Walton dropped in a career high 18 points and had a sensational block in transition. Xavier Ringo drove home 12. Jaraan Lands added ten. Dutra scored 13 points. Kyle Thompson added five. Trevor Lucas scored two. Jimmy Mescall hit a trey. Mycah Whetstone and Evan Finley both added four points in the 79-49 win on the road.
