No.24 Girls' tennis places 6th at Hoosier Crossroads Conference championships

No.24 Brownsburg traveled to Fishers for the 2021 Hoosier Crossroads Conference championship May 8th. Several Bulldogs made their first appearance at the HCC Championships and the Bulldogs came away with a sixth place finish. 

HIGHLIGHTS: 

  • Ava Allen fell in her first match of the day on a long third set tie break at No.1 Singles. She responded by dropping just three games over her last two matches to finish in 5th place 
  • Hannah Schwab also secured back-to-back wins after a No.2 Singles opening loss. Schwab won a third set tie break in the concolation finals to finish 5th 
  • Fatima Usmani won her first HCC match of the year on a third set tie break in the 7th/8th place match 
  • No.1 Doubles duo Evelyn Cougill and Shelby Allen closed their day with a strong 6-2, 7-5 win in the 7th/8th place match
