No.10 Girls' Tennis grabs first win of the season at home invite

No.10 Brownsburg split a pair of games at the Brownsburg Invitational April 17, defeating Mooresville 4-1 and falling to No.18 Harrison 4-1. Junior Evelyn Cougill went 2-0 on the day at No.3 singles. 

The Bulldogs opened the invitational by sweeping the singles matches to get the win over the Pioneers. Brownsburg dropped just one singles game in the match against Mooresville. Sophomore Ava Allen and freshman Hannah Schwab each got the first Brownsburg career win in straight sets. Cougill picked up her first win of the day at No.3 Singles without dropping a game. 

Meanwhile, Brownsburg's second doubles win over the last three matches came by way of Grace Thomas and Fatima Usmani, who edged out a win straight sets win. 

Up against the No.18 ranked Raiders, Brownsburg fell 4-1 in the back end of the invitational. Cougill's second straight sets win of the day at No.3 singles was the highlight of the match.
