Girls' Swim/Dive Moves to 3-0 on the Season

The Bulldog girls swimming and diving team improved to 3-0 on the season with a spirited performance on Tuesday night, scoring 124 points to win a tri-meet against host Cascade (109) and Mooresville (86).
Junior Grace Fulwider and freshman Madison Kehr were double winners for the Dogs. Both girls teamed with junior Tia Scoggan and sophomore Clarice Cross to win the opening 200 Medley Relay, with Fulwider (500 Freestyle) and Kehr (100 Backstroke) winning individual events later in the meet. Three other Dogs got their hands on the wall first in individual events. Senior Madeline Ketchem won a close finish in the 100 Freestyle, as did sophomore Brianna LaPaugh in the 200 IM, and sophomore Kierra Watson turned in a strong performance to win the 100 Breaststroke. Seniors Paige Jones (Diving) and Kristin Verpe (200 Freestyle) and junior Delaney Krug (50 Freestyle) picked up individual runner-up finishes, while Cross, Ketchem, Krug, Verpe, seniors Meghan Schrad and Katie Thomas, sophomore Breanna Smith and freshman Avery Chadd contributed to second place relay performances.
The Bulldog girls swimming and diving team (3-0) returns to action while the Bulldog boys swimming and diving team opens its season on Tuesday, November 27, hosting Hoosier Crossroads Conference power Zionsville at 6 p.m. at the Bulldog Aquatic Center. This will be a big night for our young, improving team and the Bulldogs need your support! Please come out in all your purple Bulldogs gear then and support your Dogs swimmers and divers!
