Bloomington HSR Results

The Bulldog boys track and field team competed last night in the Bloomington North Invitational at IU. The Bulldogs had a ton of quality performances throughout the night. In the field events, Devin Humes won the Shot Put, setting a huge personal best by throwing 53'3.75". The Bulldogs placed two in the long jump. Corey Griffen went 20'11" to take third and Dequincy Davis went 19'11" to take sixth. Eli Johnson finished out the night in the field events by taking second in the high jump. On the track, the Bulldogs top placer was Bryce Kirtz. He took second in the 60 meter dash running a PR of 7.13, which is currently the fastest time for a sophomore in that event in the state. Corey Griffen took sixth in the 60 meter hurdles running a PR of 8.82. Michael Powell broke 5 minutes in the 1600 for the first time and Michael Breckler was a little over two seconds away from breaking 5 minutes as well. Finally, the Bulldog 4x200 meter relay placed 5th with a time 1:33.8. The Bulldogs will be back in action this weekend at the HCC indoor Conference Meet in Wabash.
