Sectional Champs!

On Saturday the Swimming and Diving Bulldogs won their 3rd straight Sectional title.  The team had outstanding performances all day, winning 5 of the 9 individual events and all 3 relays.

The first swimmers to get their ticket to the state meet were the 200 Medley Relay swimmers - Jack Lukens, Frank Schoemer, Kevin Gast and Noah Pearson.

The first individual title for the Bulldogs came when Andrew Fulwider won the 200 IM.  

Justin Garnett finished 2nd in the diving competition to qualify for Tuesdays diving regional.

 After diving the Bulldogs went on a roll winning the next 3 individual events and the 200 Free Relay.  Kevin Gast won the 100 Fly and the 500 Free and Frank Schoemer won the 100 Free.  Then the win of the day came when the 200 Free Relay came off the 5th seed and stole the race by .05 seconds.  The relay members were Jack Lukens, Andrew Fulwider, Braden Jackson and Noah Pearson.

The Bulldogs put the meet away for good when they went 1-2-3 in the 500 Free lead by Kevin, Riley Koester and Jacob Wilson.

The 400 Relay team of Kevin, Braden, Andrew and Frank finished the meet with a convincing win in the 400 Free Relay.

Swimmer of the meet was Frank Schoemer who swam a lifetime best to upset the Brebeuf favorite in the 100 Breast in a school record time!

The boys will be heading to IUPUI on Friday for the state championship.
