Bulldogs Swim Past Red Devils

Last night the Bulldog Swimming and Diving teams hosted sectional rival Pike at the first ever Bulldog Beach Club.  The Bulldogs had a student section on deck that enjoyed the meet and stayed until the end to do the fight song with the team.

The Bulldog swimmers and divers didn't disappoint on the night!  The ladies won 132-53 while the men's team won 133-53.

The lady Bulldogs were led by several athletes scoring wins on the night.  Senior captain Piper Lovett continues to win - Piper won the 500 Free and was a member of three winning relays on the night.   Junior Danielle LeClerc once again was the diving champion on the night.  Other swimmers scoring wins for the Bulldogs were Logan Replogle, Bailey LaPaugh, Abby Callis, Madison Mehringer, Jenny Dreessen, and AJ Moll.  The swim of the meet was Rebecca Perkins who won the 50 Free in a personal best time under 30 seconds.

The men's team won every swimming event on the night.  The team was led by Junior Captain Kevin Gast who had wins in the 200 Free, 100 Back and two relays and Sophomore Noah Pearson who won the 50 Free and 100 Fly and was on two winning relays as well.   Other Bulldogs with wins were Braden Jackson, Austin Stout, Andrew Fulwider, Frank Schoemer, Jack Lukens and Riley Koester.

The race of the night was between Noah Pearson and Andrew Fulwider who went head-to-head in the 100 Fly with both swimmers registering personal bests.  Pearson surged past Fulwider at the end as the two finished 1-2 over Pike.

Both teams will be in action on Saturday as the compete in the Hendricks County Tournament.
