Millers Steal a Victory from Dogs

The Varsity Football team hosted the Noblesville Millers last Friday as the team honored their senior players and managers for all of their hard work and commitment.  The game however ended in heart break as the Millers converted a 2 point conversion in overtime to defeat the Dogs 36 to 35.  Offensively the host Bulldogs accumulated 348 yards of offense with quarterback Hunter Johnson completing 14 passes for 205 yards and 3 Touchdowns.  Running back Toks Akinribade rushed the ball 30 times for 144 yards and 2 touchdowns, Carson Gill stepped in and made a huge contribution to the running game as well.  Vincent Lismon collected five catches and scored a 46 yard TD after a highlight spin move to avoid a Miller tackler.  Tyler Kirtz had four catches on the night including a touchdown and Michael Klayer caught 3 balls for 20 yards and a TD with none more important in OT scoring catch from the five yard line.  Defensively, sophomore Isaac McCormick was tough to block and hounded the Miller QB often.  The team will travel to HSE this Friday for a 7:00pm kick off.
