Westfield Rains on Homecoming

Westfield Rains on Homecoming

The Varsity Football team lost to Westfield on Friday by a score of 35 to 21.  The Dogs moved the ball up and down the field early but could not punch it into the end zone resulting in a 14-0 halftime defecit.  The second half offered much of the same until Hunter Johnson connected with Tyler Kirtz with a long TD throw for the first score of the night.  Jose Hacker then dropped a perfect pooch kick into the Westfield zone and Jamar Conway recovered giving the Dogs the ball on the 35 yard line.  A few plays later Toks Akinribade found the end zone to bring the score to 14-28.  Unfortunately the luck ran out there as the visitors scored again to put the game away.  Kirtz had 10 catches on the night while Johnson attempted a school record tying 42 passes.  The team will travel to Zionsville on Friday night to take on the Eagles at 7pm.
