Bulldogs Down LN

The Varsity Football team defeated Lawrence North last Friday night by the score of 28 to 14.  LN got on the board first with a first quarter score but the Dogs came storming back with four touchdowns in a row.  Toks Akinribade scored three of the four TD's with runs of 6, 11 and a school record tying run from 93 yards out.  Tyler Kirtz recorded 5 catches on the night including a 7 yard TD reception.  Hunter Johnson had a very efficient night connecting on 10 of 13 passing attempts for 106 yards and a TD.  Overall the offense rolled up 387 yards with Akinribade totaling 232 on 23 carries.  Defensively the Dogs bent but seldom broke taking advantage of two fumble recoveries and several opportunistic fourth down stops.  The team will travel to Franklin this Friday for a battle with the Grizzly Cubs.  See you on the field!
