The Varsity Football team defeated Avon on Friday night by a score of 27-7.  The Dogs were gracious host early allowing the Orioles a first quarter score, however the team then came back to  score 27 unanswered points on the way to a home victory.  The defense (led by Brad Guilinger) stepped up to hold the visitors well below their normal scoring average.  Mike McCoy and Victor Inglima both recorded interceptions while Isaac McCormick took down the Avon QB for his first varsity sack.  Offensively, sharp routes and accurate passing allowed the Dogs to move the chains and take a few shots down field resulting two TD passes.  Quarterback Hunter Johnson was 24 of 35 passing for 289 yards, 2 interceptions and 2 touchdowns to Vincent Lismon and Tyler KirtzKameron Davis played a strong game from his WR spot snagging 5 balls for 44 yards and several big first downs.   Kirtz tied a school record for receptions in a game with 11 catches for 137 yards!  Jose Hacker had another accurate night hitting on two field goal attempts from 22 and 25 yards and going 3 of 3 on PAT's.  Toks Akinribade finished the scoring with a 79 touchdown sprint to put the game away, Toks finished with 101 yards on 24 carries.  The Dogs look to carry the momentum to Hamilton County on Friday night as they travel to Fishers HS.  See you on the field!
