3rd Place Finish for Girls' Swim/Dive Team

The Bulldog girls swimming & diving team wrapped up a successful season with a third place finish on Saturday at the IHSAA Sectional at Ben Davis. The Dogs scored 308 points to finish behind Brebeuf and champion North Central. The Dogs produced three runner-up finishes on the day, with junior Madeline Ketchem having a hand in two, finishing second in the 100 Butterfly and teaming with senior Elizabeth Ancel, sophomore Grace Fulwider and freshman Kierra Watson for second in the 200 Medley Relay. Ketchem also finished fourth in the 200 IM. Sophomore Chloe Wittig had the final runner-up finish in the 200 Freestyle, added a fourth place in the 500 Freestyle and teamed with Ancel, Watson and junior Erin Miller to finish fifth in the 200 Freestyle Relay. Fulwider finished third in both the 200 IM and 100 Breaststroke. Ancel finished sixth in the 50 Freestyle and 10th in the 100 Freestyle, Miller finished seventh in the 100 Freestyle and eighth in the 50 Freestyle and Watson finished sixth in the 100 Butterfly and ninth in the 100 Backstroke. Other top eight finishes were produced by senior Emily Young (fifth - 100 Breaststroke), sophomore Anna Miller (seventh - 500 Freestyle), sophomore Tia Scoggan (seventh - 100 Backstroke) and freshman Brianna LaPaugh (eighth - 500 Freestyle). Additional scoring swims came from sophomore Delaney Krug (10th - 200 IM & 11th - 100 Freestyle) and freshman Olivia Beard (13th - 200 Freestyle).
