Brownsburg Swims Past Crawfordsville

The Brownsburg boys and girls swimming & diving teamcontinued a pair of win streaks Thursday night on the road in Crawfordsville. The Boys won their fifth consecutive dual meet with a hard-fought 103-81 decision over the Athenians, while the Girls made it three in a row with their 107-76 victory.

The Bulldog girls were led by a pair of triple winners in junior Madeline Ketchem and sophomore Grace Fulwider. Ketchem won the 100 Freestyle and 100 Breaststroke and Fulwider won the 500 Freestyle, and they teamed with junior Erin Miller and sophomore Tia Scoggan to win the 200 Medley Relay. Fulwider also teamed with sophomore Delaney Krug and freshmen Brianna LaPaugh and Kierra Watson to win the 400 Freestyle Relay. Watson and Miller were double winners on the night, as were senior Elizabeth Ancel and sophomore Chloe Wittig.  Individually, Ancel won the 200 IM, Watson won the 200 Freestyle and Wittig won the 100 Butterfly. Ancel, Miller and Wittig teamed with senior Emily Young to win the 200 Freestyle Relay.

The Bulldog boysonly won four events on the night, but used superior depth to gain the advantage over the Athenians. Three of those wins were courtesy of freshman Joe Ancel, who finished first in the 200 and 500 Freestyle, and teamed with senior Joel Paquin, junior Kasey Cross and freshman Diego LaTorre to win the 400 Freestyle Relay. Sophomore Bradley Green picked up the final win for the Dogs, finishing first in the 100 Backstroke.
