Sectional Champions!!

The boys' varsity tennis team won the 2013 sectional championship with a 4-1 victory over Avon on Saturday!   Both of our doubles teams came out on fire and lit up the courts with near perfect game plan execution.  Todd Clark and Michael Clemens, at the two doubles spot, were first off the courts and claimed our first point.  Jon Class, at two singles, finished right after Clark-Clemens and grabbed the second point.  Class refused to give up any games.  Shortly after Jon's victory, our number one doubles tandem of Nick Wilde and Nathan Mehringer clinched the team win with the third point of the day.  They, too, gave up no games.  Sam Gentry, at number one singles, had complete command of his match in bringing home the final point for the Bulldogs.  Gentry lost a total of two games.  Sam Peterson battled through three sets and narrowly missed a win, but Peterson had a critical victory in Thursday's semifinal match to help the 'Dogs reach the finals.  The Bulldogs will play in the regionals on Tuesday at Avon at 5:00 p.m.
