Tennis Advances to Sectional Championship

The boys' varsity tennis team won a tough 5-0 semifinal match over Plainfield last night. Sam Paterson had a quick win at 3 singles and was first off the courts. He was followed by Jon Class who had another stellar night at the two spot. Our one doubles team of Nathan Mehringer and Nick Wilde clinched the contest with an exciting closing set. Our two doubles of Todd Clark and Michael Clemens came back from a first set loss to finish with two strong sets. Sam Gentry, at number one singles, also had a challenging first set but completely took charge in the final two sets to keep the Quakers off the scoreboard. The Bulldogs meet Avon at Avon on Saturday morning at 10:00 for the championship match. Come on out and fill the stands with purple.
