Bulldogs Grab Two Wins in HCC Play

The varsity boys' tennis team played McCutcheon and Harrison in an HCC doubleheader on Saturday.  In the morning match, the Bulldogs beat McCutcheon 5-0 with dominant singles' victories from Jon Class, Nick Wilde, and Sam Peterson.  The doubles tandems of Todd Clark/Nathan Mehringer and Matt Irelan/Michael Clemens were equally successful. 

In the afternoon, the temperature and humidity skyrocketed but the 'Dogs responded with a gritty performance and beat the Raiders 4-1.  Jon Class had an outstanding straight set victory against a very tough opponent.  Nick Wilde demonstrated incredible accuracy in his singles' win, and Sam Peterson completely controlled his match and brought in a very big win once again.  The doubles duo of Nathan Mehringer and Todd Clark collected the last point for the home team in a hard fought contest.
