Bulldogs Roll Past 'Rocks

The Bulldogs were dominant last Friday night in defeating #12 ranked Westfield 41-7!  This win was the first on the road for the Dogs, and started the first win streak of the season.

On offense, sophomore running back Donovan Marcus was spectacular, running for 178 yards and 2 touchdowns on 17 carries, including a 95 yard touchdown run that featured outstanding blocking from the offensive line and a phenomenal blocking effort from junior Bryce Kirtz.  Kirtz added another TD run of his own, to go along with 60 receiving yards and over 100 yards of total offense.  Senior Leigh Nutall returned from injury and made his presence known with 2 TD receptions from Senior QB Kyle Strakis.  Strakis started the scoring with a TD run of his own to begin the scoring onslaught in the first quarter.

Defensively the Dogs were mean and nasty in holding Westfield under 200 yards total offense.  Sophomore Dane Middlebrook made plays from his defensive tackle position, as did senior Antrez Baker at defensive end.  Baker had a spectacular interception and return in the second half to end any threat of the Shamrocks getting back in the game.  The linebacker crew of Sevonte Sumpter-Bey, Jacob Birkofer, and Tyrone Griffin made plays all over the field.

It's homecoming week at Brownsburg!!!  Your Bulldog football team is looking forward to all the activities and seeing everyone in the stands at Roark Stadium cheering on a victory over Zionsville!
