Cross Country Teams Run in Stacked HCC Championship

The girls' cross-country team ran to 8th place Saturday in the conference championships at Noblesville High School. The girls ran really well, led once again by Julia Popenfoose with a personal record time of 20 minutes, 13 seconds over the 3.1 mile course. Cassidy Brown was the second Bulldog to score, followed by the extremely impressive finishes of Allison Hering and Brooke U'Ren. Kyra Jo Gaerke rounded out the Bulldogs' top five.

The boys' cross-country team had one of its best conference finishes in recent memory, placing 5th in a field of no less than four state ranked teams. Justin Hays (8th) and Elliot Shaw (17th) earned all-conference honors with their personal record-setting performances and were followed closely across the line by Alek Minkis, Mark Bond, Sam Fellers, and Jack Reed. Marcus Fierek was the top junior varsity finisher for Brownsburg.
