Cross Country Competes in Tough Flashrock Invite

The boys' and girls' cross-country teams ran the ultra competitive Flashrock Invitational in Carmel Saturday against not less than 13 state ranked teams in each race. The girls ran to 23rd place out of 48 teams, led once again by Julia Popenfoose, Cassidy Brown, and KJ Gaerke. Alli Kent led the Dogs in the JV race!

The boys' team had an impressive day by finishing 16th out of 50 teams, even defeating 17th ranked Zionsville by a single point. Justin Hays was the top Bulldog on the day, placing 37th out of 432 runners. All nine varsity runners had their best times of the season, plus Elliot Shaw, Seth Webster, Mark Bond, Joey Vonderahe, and Hays set their all-time personal records. Marcus Fierek led the team in the JV race!
