Bulldogs Run to 6th Place
The Brownsburg harriers were in action Saturday morning at the Martinsville Invitational, battling not only hundreds of runners but the heat and the blazing sun as well. The team ran to a 6th place finish out of 17 teams, even though the guys were not hitting on all cylinders.
Once again, Hari Sathyamurthy led the Bulldog attack by claiming the individual championship, outdueling Chesterton's top runner down to the line! Hari's time of 16 minutes one second was nearly a half minute faster than last year's performance. Marcus Fierek joined Hari as Dog of the Meet winners with his 13th place finish, besting last year's time by over one minute! Michael Breckler was also spectacular with a 44 second all-time personal best 5K race.
In the junior varsity race, freshman Tyler Nolan was the first Bulldog across the line, followed by fellow freshman Bryce Dixon. Both were close to their best times, despite the crippling heat!
