Boys' and Girls' Cross Country Advance to Regionals

The boys and girls cross country teams came home from the South Putnam sectional Tuesday evening in the runners up positions out of 15 teams, both falling to team champions Avon High School. The boys had a heartbreaking loss by a score of 47 to 50 but hope to rebound from this performance Saturday in regionals at Ben Davis High School.

The girls were led by the third-place finish of Laura Bess and eighth place by Sydney Lesko. The brightest spots of the meet were the performances of Bulldog freshmen Cassidy Brown and Jill Zimmerman, running outstanding races to finish 15th and 16th.

The boys were led by junior Justin Hays, who had an incredible race to finish fourth overall out of more than 100 runners. Ben Hendricks finished seventh, followed by Alek Minkis with a great race and a top 10 finish!
