Several Qualify for State Meet

The boys track team had a strong showing at the Regional meet Thursday night. Hari Sathyamurthy is the regional champ in the 1600 and 800 meter run! He set a new school record in the 800 with a time of 1:55.28! The winning streak continued for the 4x400 relay of Nassif Kouton, Tyler Kirtz, Brandon Britton, and Hari as they crossed the line in first place setting a new school and regional record with a time of 3:18.84. The boys will compete for the state title next Saturday at IU! Other great performances for the night was Nassif Kouton finishing 4th in the 400, Kevin Albert with a 5th place finish in pole vault, the 4x100 relay set a personal best time in the 4x100 and Seth Webster and Ben Crockett set their personal bests in the 4x800 both running 2:01 for their split time. Congrats boys and good luck at the State finals!
