Boys' Track Places 6th at HCC Meet

The boys track team traveled to Zionsville for the HCC Conference Meet Friday night. Despite a 6th place team finish there were many outstanding performances for the night. Hari Sathyamurthy proved he is one of the elite runners in the state by winning the 1600 meters with a personal best time of 4:19.60. A few events later he came back to win the 800 meters with a time of 1:56. 32. Nassif Kouton finished 3rd in the 400 meters and Isaiah Hightower scored in 8th place. Tyler Kirtz had a great run in the 200 meter race placing 3rd and Isaiah O'Neal scored in 7th place. The 4 x 800 relay of Seth Webster, Devon Boone, Ben Crockett, and Brandon Britton placed 5th with their best time of the season. One of the highlights of the meet was the final race where our 4 x 400 relay team of Nassif Kouton, Tyler Kirtz, Brandon Britton, and Hari Sathyamurthy set a new Conference record with a time of 3:22.19. Congratulations boys! The team gets ready for the Sectional meet this Thursday at Plainfield. Go Dogs!
