Avon Runs Past Boys' Track

The Boys' Track Team was unable to put together enough points to get past Avon Thursday night as they fell by a score of 92-37. Despite the loss many of the Dogs had several highlights on the night. Nassif Kouton took home 1st place with a 52 second 400m dash. Pole vaulters David LaPerle and Josh Mischler grabbed 1st and 2nd place, while Mischler had a career night and set a new personal best height of 13' 6". Isaiah O'Neil and Dejour Mercer contributed important points as the finished a very close 100m dash in 2nd and 3rd place. The highlights of the evening saw senior Jeremy Shupperd have a great night as he not only finished 1st in the 300m hurdles, but also set a new school record for the second time this season with an amazing time of 14.99 in the 110 high hurdles. In addition, Hari Sathyamurthy broke the freshman school record in the 800 m run with a blazing 2:04.3! Good work boys and best of luck as you head into the conference meet next week.
