Boys' and Girls' Track have a Successful Senior Night

It was great evening for Senior Night as both the boys and girls track teams came up victorious against Plainfield and Mooresville! For the girls, Sibong Ncube got things heated up by winning the 100 meter hurdles in 16 flat. Other girls who won events on the evening were Mandie Holbrook in the shot with a throw of 32' 9", Ncube and Caitlin Dressler in the high jump at 4'8", Kerry Devney in the long jump at 14'6", Veronica Goduto in the 200 meters in 27.4, Rachel Smith in the 1600 in 5:33, Julia Popenfoose in the 3200 meters in 12:31, the 4x100 relay team of Florence Akinribade, Monique Burnes, Ncube, and Rocky Sulkoske in 52.33, and the 4x400 relay team of Tavon McCollum, Morgan Weller, Sulkoske, and Chloe Dygert in 4:16.

Others who contributed valuable points on the night were, Sulkoske in the 100 meter hurdles, Breanna Smith in the 100 meters, Akinribade in the 100 and 200 meters, Jill Zimmerman and Popenfoose in the 1600 meters, McCollum and Goduto in the 400 meters, Burnes and Jolori Schafer in the 300 meter hurdles, Brittany Newson in the shot, Shay Roberson in the disc, Schafer and Lauren Markovich in the pole vault, KJ Gaerke and Smith in the 800 meters, the 4x800 relay team of Sydney Lesko, Laura Smith, Alysse Mitchener, and Gaerke as well as Bess and Lesko in the 3200 meters. A huge thanks to Mrs. Gaerke and Mrs. Anders for putting together a great night of recognition for our seniors! The Dogs travel to West Lafayette on Saturday to participate in the West Lafayette relays and then on to County next Tuesday at Danville!

The boys' track team defeated Plainfield and Mooresville yesterday, led by the impressive three-win performance by Jeremy Shupperd. Jeremy won the 110 m high hurdles and 300 m low hurdles in convincing fashion and cleared 6'0" to win the high jump. The Bulldogs also got first-place finishes from Wyatt Rondot 1600 m run, Chris Stowers shot put, Latrelle Bandstra 200 m dash, Justin Hays 3200 m run, David LaPerle
