Osborn Named Girls' Varsity Soccer Coach

Megan Osborn will take over as Brownsburg High School's girls' varsity soccer coach it was announced Monday. Osborn served as assistant to varsity coach Phil Slavens for eight years before taking a break to concentrate more time on her family.

"Megan has shown her dedication to the Brownsburg soccer program for many years," said incoming BHS Athletic Director Kelli Waggoner. "We are excited to have her leadership, determination and winning approach as the new head coach."
Osborn brings experience as a collegiate soccer player at Goshen College and club coaching with the Brownsburg Royale Soccer Club and Westside United Soccer Club, in addition to both middle and high school coaching. She was named the NSCAA's Regional Assistant Coach of the Year in 2008 after a season capped by a win over #1 ranked Carmel to earn a berth in the final eight. Osborn has taught physical education at Brownsburg East Middle School since 2000.
 

Expressing the excitement of her entire family Osborn said, "As a former assistant coach for Brownsburg soccer, I am well aware and proud of our excellent soccer history. We have a strong core group of returning players to provide positive leadership, and younger faces to continue building our competitive traditions. I am looking forward to working with some extremely talented athletes, coaches, and staff. Brownsburg Girls' Soccer is a program which I am proud to lead."
