5th Ranked HSE Too Much for Girls' Soccer Team

Although it was in a losing cause, the girls' varsity soccer team played an outstanding match against the fifth ranked HSE Royals on their home field Wednesday evening. A fluke goal in the first minute and a late goal made the final score 3-0 but the match was actually a fairly even affair. Playing her first extended minutes Mikaela Caron did a great job at an outside back position, Tori Edwards played well, Sophie McFarland was moved to a couple different positions and continued her great play. The press box "Player of the Match" was Tayler Stivers, experiencing the best season of her career. The girls return to the pitch Friday evening at 7:30pm against a first time opponent, Fort Wayne Homestead at North Central's field. Plan on starting the Labor Day weekend by traveling to North Central to support the girls' team.
