Tigers and Bulldogs Play to a Tie

The girls' soccer team continued their great play Monday evening, tying eighth ranked Fishers 1-1 on a cold, windy evening. Tori Edwards scored her first goal of the season on an absolute rocket off her left foot midway through the first half. Fishers got the tying goal early in the second half and continued to apply pressure for the rest of the match. Once again, the defense of Rachal Sperka, Madison Miller, Leah Thompson, and Hannah Mummert played superbly and never lost their cool and forced Fishers to shoot from less dangerous positions on the pitch. Alex Gotkowski played her best match of the season. Also playing her best game of the season was Taylor Carter. Although she didn't score, she was a very dangerous threat and occupied at least two Fishers defenders the entire match. Sami Peery and Tori Edwards controlled the middle for the Dogs with assistance from Macey Bunn and Madison Myers. The Dogs complete the regular season at Lafayette Harrison on Wednesday evening and begin preparations for the Mooresville sectional.
