Girls' Soccer Advances in Sectional Play

The girls soccer team extended their season by easily winning their first round sectional match against Danville's Lady Warriors Thursday evening.  The Dogs scored in the first minute and never looked back.  Taylor Carter had a monster game scoring three goals and and an Assist, Sami Peery had a goal and an assist and Rachal Sperka, Sophie McFarland, and Sydne Dryer all added a goal.  The defense led by Madison Miller, Leah Thompson, Hannah Mummert and Rachal Sperka, was extremely stout, as usual, not allowing a single shot on goal.  Alex Gotkowski and Lindsey Weber combined for the shutout.  The girls play at 3:00pm Saturday against arch rival Avon for the Sectional Championship at the Mooresville soccer field.
