@bhsdogsghoops' Bosse selected for IndyStar Indiana All-Star team
By Keelen Barlow
Brownsburg girls' basketball senior Allison Bosse was announced as a selection for the IndyStar Indiana All-Star team on March 12. Bosse joins thirteen other seniors from the state of Indiana who were chosen for the team. The squad will matchup against the All-Stars from the state of Kentucky this June.
Bosse is the tenth Indiana All-Star (boy or girl) in Brownsburg High School history. She joins Judy Cummings (1979), Amy Brauman (1991), Lauren Taylor (2008) and Stephanie Mavunga (2013) as the only Brownsburg girls' basketball players to be selected to the Indiana All-Star team. Former Brownsburg girls' basketball head coach Amy Brauman was an Indiana All-Star assistant coach in 2014. Current Brownsburg girls' basketball head coach Debbie Guckenberger led the Indiana All-Stars as their head coach last summer.
Bosse averaged 16.9 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.2 steals per game for the Bulldogs during her senior campaign. Bosse , who shot 36.6 percent from the three-point line, helped the program reach the Elite Eight of the IHSAA Girls' Basketball State Tournament for the first time since 1991 this season. During her four-year varsity career, the program posted a 75-30 overall record. The team won an IHSAA Sectional championship in three out of her four years as a Bulldog.
Bosse is one of three players from the Hoosier Crossroads Conference to earn an Indiana All-Star selection. Franklin Central's Rachel Loobie and Hamilton Southeastern's Sydney Parrish were also selected.
Following her tour with the Indiana All-Stars Bosse will head to play collegiately for Marian University in Indianapolis.
Bedford North Lawrence head coach Jeff Allen will lead the Indiana All-Stars this summer. He will be joined by Noblesville head coach Donna Buckley and Northridge head coach Doug Springer who will both serve as his assistants.
The Indiana All-Star team will play a home-and-home with the Kentucky All-Stars later this year on June 5th at Great Crossing High School in Georgetown, Ky. The series will shift to Indiana on June 6th with Southport High School playing host.
