No. 2 Boys T&F win Zionsville Invitational, Girls T&F take third

The Zionsville Invitational kicked off Friday night with a large field. Including Brownsburg, the field included Avon, Culver Academies, Floyd Central, Harrison (West Lafayette), Lafayette Jefferson, New Palestine, Pendleton Heights, Westfield, West Lafayette, Whiteland Community and Zionsville. No. 2 ranked Brownsburg boys and the Zionsville girls won the Zionsville Invitational.

Events: 

100M - Zemonda Wilson finished in second. Aysa Thruston took first and Darrelle Rice took second.

200M - Dominic Calhoun took fifth place. Izzy Neal finished in third. 

400M - Jaley Larkey and Paige Kirtz both finished in third place in the boys and girls race. 

800M - Haiden Diemer-McKinney hit a PR taking first place. 

1600M - Sherjeel Khan hit a PR finishing in fourth place.

3200M - Elise Cougill finished in seventh place. 

110M Hurdles - John Colquitt won and broke the meet record with a time of 14.21. He broke his own record that he set in lasts year Zionsville Invitational. 

300M Hurdles - John Colquitt had another dominating performance, taking first place. 

4X100 Relay - The boys broke the meet record with a time of 42.13 finishing in first place behind John Colquitt, Zemonda Wilson, Caleb Marcus and Dominic Calhoun. For the girls, they finished in second place behind Izzy Neal, Aysa Thruston, Hailey Hoskins and Darrelle Rice. 

4X400 Relay - Our boys took first behind Dominic Calhoun, Jalen Larkey, Scotty Tienda and Haiden Diemer-McKinney. Our girls tied for third place behind Aysa Thruston, Jordan Griffin, Izzy Neal and Paige Kirtz. 

4X800 Relay - Our boys finished in third place behind Caedmon Oliger, Haiden Diemer-McKinney, Caeden Ramsey and Tristan Krizan. Our girls took fourth place behind Elise Cougill, Riley Owens, Mackenzie Williams and Lindsay Huston. 

Shot Put - Shon Tupuola took third place. Avery Gordon finished in fifth. 

Discus - Shon Tupuola finished in fourth place.

High Jump - Scotty Tienda took second place, and Justin Petty took third. Emily Ritenour finished in fourth.

Pole Vault - Ashlyn Schwab finished in third place. 

Long Jump - John Colquitt took first place. Quinci Thomas finished in second. 

It was a big night for both teams with big performances. Up next for the Bulldogs is the HCC Outdoor Championships. The girls will take place on May 3 at 6 PM, and the boys will take place on May 5 also starting at 6 PM. The field events will kick off the championship at 6 PM and the running events will start at approximately 6:30 PM. Both teams HCC Championships will be at Fishers High School.
