No. 2 Boys T&F wins the battle for the bell as No. 4 Girls T&F falls to Avon on the road

Brownsburg traveled to Avon battling for the B&O Trail Rotary Bell in honor of Bell Week. Tonight kicked off a week of several events between Brownsburg Athletics and Avon Athletics. There were three events tonight between the two schools. Both Bulldog squads entered tonight's meet ranked; the boys coming in at No. two, and the girls at No. 4 in the most recent state polls.

Events:

100M - Zemonda Wilson first place, Caleb Marcus second for the boys. Aysa Thruston finsihes second for the girls. 

200M - Dominic Calhoun first place, Zemonda Wilson second for the boys. Paige Kirtz finishes second for the girls. 

400M - Haiden Diemer-McKinney first place, Scotty Tienda second for the boys. Paige Kirtz takes first place, Jordan Griffin second for the girls. 

800M - Trey Krizon second place for the boys. Skyler Dickenson takes fourth for the girls. 

1600M - Sherjeel Khan second place for the boys. Skyler Dickenson takes third for the girls. 

3200M - Ean Packard first place, Sudharshan Srinivasan second place for the boys. Elise Cougill takes first place, and Emily Baker second for the girls. 

100M Hurdles - Frederick Hawthorne and Natalie Hay take second in the boys and girls heats. 

300M Hurdles - John Colquitt finishes in first place for the boys, Natalie Hay takes third for the girls. 

4X100 Relay - Boys take first place behind John Colquitt, Zemonda Wilson, Caleb Morris and Dominic Calhoun. The girls also finished in first behind Abigail Matthews, Aysa Thruston, Hailey Hoskins and Darrelle Rice. 

4X400 Relay - Boys take first place behind Dominic Calhoun, Jalen Larkey, Scotty Tienda and Haiden Diemer-McKinney. The girls also took first place behind Izzy Neal, Jordan Griffin, Hailey Hoskins and Paige Kirtz.

4X800 Relay - Boys finished first behdind Sherjeel Khan, Haiden Diemer-McKinney, Caedmon Barksdale and Caedmon Oliger. The girls took second place. 

Shot Put - Son Tupuola first place, Robert Mays second for the boys. Loria Snowden takes second for the girls. 

Discus - Evan Furuness and Kindahl DeBrunner both take second for the boys and girls. 

High Jump - Frederick Hawthorne takes first, Scotty Tienda second for the boys. Emily Ritenour takes first, Kaitlyn Chavarria second for the girls. 

Pole Vault - Noah Jesse takes first place for the boys. Alayna Dashiell finishes third for the girls. 

Long Jump - John Colquitt takes first, Alex Eyasu second for the boys. Quinci Thomas finishes in second place for the girls. 

Bell Week continues this week between Avon and Brownsburg! 

The Bulldogs return to action Friday, April 29 at Zionsville High School competing in the Zionsville Invitational. The meet with begin at 5:30 PM.
