2020 AllState Sneakers for Santa Shootout set for the Varsity Fieldhouse this weekend

Brownsburg High School will host the 2020 AllState Insurance Sneakers for Santa Shootout December 5th at the Varsity Fieldhouse. The event brings together a total of fourteen basketball programs from the states of Indiana and Ohio to benefit Samaritan's Feet, a non-profit organization that has distributed over 6.5 million pairs of shoes in 75 different countries since its inception. Participating communities are asked to donate new or gently used shoes ahead of the holiday season.
The Field
The event brings together a talented field including the No.1 ranked team in the state of Indiana, Lawrence North. The event also boasts four other teams currently ranked in the AP IHSAA Class 4A Top 10, in Crispus Attucks, No.10, Warren Central, No.5, Cathedral, No.4, and Brownsburg, No.3, as well as the No.1 ranked team in IHSAA Class 2A, Blackhawk Christian.
The year's lineup features several IndyStar Indiana Mr. Basketball Candidates from the 2021 and 2022 classes. The field includes players who are committed or signed to continue their basketball careers at Auburn, Butler, Illinois and Purdue, among others.
The twelve participating head coaches bring a wealth of experience, including multiple IHSAA State championships and a National Championship. Participating schools went 264-80 in 2019-2020.

The AllState Insurance Sneakers for Santa Shootout is following the guidance of the state Indiana, Hendricks county health officials and the IHSAA with regard to this weekend's event. As a result, limited tickets are only available for team families. Only those with an advanced ticket will be admitted to Varsity Fieldhouse and the gym will be cleared after the completion of each game Saturday.
