Girls' Tennis Wins Over County Rival Plainfield

Girls' Tennis Wins Over County Rival Plainfield

The varsity girls' tennis team put in a fine performance last night with a 4-1 victory over county rival, Plainfield. Nicole Weisman pulled out an incredible come-from-behind win in a number one singles duel that lasted nearly three hours. Katie Suiter, at three singles, played a very steady match to claim our second point. The doubles duo of Emily Doehrman and Shelby Hornback got off to a slow start but quickly found their way to another victory at the number one spot. In the number two doubles match of Nikki Meade and Yolandi Geldenhuis, there was never a doubt who was in control of the match as Meade and Geldenhuis were the first to come off the courts. Nikki and Yolandi came ready to play, stopped the Quakers in their tracks, and set the tone for the night.
