Swim/Dive Competes against Millers

The Bulldog Swimming & Diving Team capped off a busy weekend with a trip to Hoosier Crossroads rival Noblesville on Saturday. The girls fought hard dropped a 125-58 decision to the Millers in their final dual meet of the season. The Bulldog boys extended their dual meet winning streak to 5 in a row, posting a 103-83 victory.
"It was a long week and an emotional one for the seniors with Senior Night on Thursday," Head Coach Josh Saylor said. "I know they were tired but we fought hard anyway and had some solid performances. Overall we're still where we need to be headed into the championship season."
The lone winner for the Bulldog girls was senior Kierra Watson, who led a 1-2 sweep of the 100 Backstroke with junior Piper Lovett. Watson also finished second in the 200 IM and teamed with senior Clarice Cross, junior Madison Kehr and freshman Bailey LaPaugh to finish second in the 200 Medley Relay.
Kehr added a pair of narrow runner-up finishes on the day, finishing a touch behind in the 100 & 200 Freestyle. Sophomore AJ Moll was second in the 500 Freestyle and third in the 200 Freestyle. Additional season best swims were turned in by senior Megan Wolf and freshman Anna Santiago in the 50 Freestyle.
The Bulldog boys were led by senior Kyle Baney, junior Vince Partlow and freshman Jack Franzman, all quadruple winners on the day. Baney won the 200 IM and 100 Butterfly, Partlow won the 200 & 500 Freestyle and Franzman won the 100 Freestyle and 100 Backstroke. Senior Cameron Howard finished off a pair of 1-2 sweeps, finishing second behind Baney in the 200 IM and Franzman in the 100 Freestyle, Respectively.
Franzman and Howard teamed with seniors Joe Ancel and Diego La Torre to win the 200 Medley Relay. Ancel, Baney, Howard and Partlow won the 200 Freestyle Relay and Baney, Franzman, La Torre and Partlow won the 400 Freestyle Relay.
The Bulldog boy and girls kick off the "Championship Season" on Saturday, January 31, hosting the Hoosier Crossroads JV Invitational at 11am at the Bulldog Aquatic Center.
