#2 Avon Too Much for Bulldogs

The Bulldogs fell to county rival and #2 state ranked, Avon, in a Saturday afternoon battle. The Orioles struck early in the game on an uncontested corner, and then again from a cross, finding a lone straggler in the penalty box. Defensively, the Dogs fought back to keep Avon quiet for the next 58 minutes. Late in the game, Avon capitalized on a mis-played clear to make their third and final goal of the game. The Bulldogs remained composed and applied attacking pressure at opportune times. With Sectionals a few weeks away, the Dogs play will only improve when they have the opportunity to face the Orioles again. The girls face MIC powerhouse, Center Grove, Monday evening at home.
