Eagles Defeat Bulldogs

With 21:09 on the clock and being down one goal to start our rematch against Zionsville, the Bulldog soccer team was focused on playing with intensity and heart. The defensive efforts of Kat Lyons with 7 huge saves, Taylor Risser, Masey Bunn, Mikaela Caron, Jen Barton, Sydney Marette, and Amanda Dotlich held the Eagles scoring threat. The offense led by Sophie McFarland, Madison Myers, and Sydne Dryer had several solid shots to create an attack. Freshmen players Carrie Lawson, Emily Groff and Kaylie Simpkiss combined with sophomores Kamarin Witham and Taliah Borom for solid offensive play in the game.  Carli Hoover and Alex Neuman's relentless transitional play created offense, and offered solid defense, for the Bulldog team. Alyssa Steinman and Bella Zoog created numerous offensive attacks on the Zionsville defense, while tracking back to support the Dog's defensive backs. The Bulldogs, despite 80 solid minutes, fell to the Eagles by a score of 4-0. The players should be extremely proud of their effort Monday night. Great work!

The Dogs are back in action to tackle the Westfield Shamrocks at home, this Wednesday. Come out to see us rock the house! JV starts at 5:30, with Varsity to follow.
