Bulldogs Move to 5-0

The varsity football team moved to 5-0 on Friday night in exciting come-from-behind fashion with a 14-10 win at Fishers. It was a struggle, all night, for both teams offensively as neither team was able to get much going. Nathan Walton had another big night for the Bulldog defense, recording 12 total tackles. The Bulldogs didn't give the Fishers quarterback much breathing room, as four players totaled five sacks on the night. Isaac McCormick, Trestin Patterson and Stormm Garnett each had a sack and Antrez Baker had two. Devin Parrot had an excellent game in the defensive backfield recording 6 tackles of his own and a late pass breakup on the Tigers final drive of the game. While the Bullldog offense struggled in the first half, they were able to put just enough production together in the second half to secure the win. Midway through the third quarter, Hunter Johnson found Eli Johnson running behind the defense for a 47 yard touchdown catch to bring the Bulldogs to within 3 of the Tigers. Down the their final possession of the game, Carson Gill took a screen pass 23 yards for a touchdown to earn the victory for the Bulldogs. The team will return home Friday night at 7pm for homecoming as they host Westfield who is the second ranked team in the state in 5A.
