Bulldogs Start Season 2-0

The varsity football team won another close game on Friday night at home against the visiting Lawrence North Wildcats. The defense was certainly the stand out performer of the night, holding a potent Wildcat rushing attack in check. Senior linebacker Stormm Garnett led the defense with 12 total tackles and Junior safety Nathan Walton was right behind with 11 total tackles and a forced fumble. Junior Devin Parrot sealed the deal with a late interception of the Wildcat quarterback. On the offensive side, Carson Gill had another 100 yard rushing performance, totaling 112 yards on 30 carries. Hunter Johnson threw for two touchdowns, finding Antrez Baker in the back of the endzone in the second quarter and then Bryce Kirtz in the third quarter. The Bulldogs will look to move to 3-0 as they travel to Franklin Community High School on Friday night at 7 pm.
