Avon Too Much For the Bulldogs

Avon Too Much For the Bulldogs

The Varsity Football team ran out of time on Friday night vs. Avon in Lucas Oil Stadium.  The Dogs lost their first game of the year by a score of 14 to 17, dropping their season record to 4 wins and 1 loss.  Behind the "road-grading" O-Line of Ellis Evans, Ben Slawta, Neal Hurford, Phillip Gegner and Ben Dall the Dogs ran all over the Orioles.  Senior fullback Isaac Beverstock carried the rock 30 times for nearly 200 yards rushing while Junior Chase Dutra hit paydirt twice scoring both touchdowns for the team, while also playing a great defensive game.  Quintin Stubbs, Davon Grundy and the rest of the defense made life difficult for the Oriole runners holding their team to 80 yards rushing on the night.  The team will board the bus on Friday and travel to Lafayette Jefferson High School with plans to take over their homecoming event!  Thank you to the outstanding crowd (students and community members) that made the trip to LOS, the sea of purple dominated the building!
