Football Defeats McCutcheon in Season Opener

The varsity football teamrushed for 402 yards on Friday night paving the way to the first victory of the season over the visiting McCutcheoon Mavericks by a score of 33-7. Ian Good, Isaac Beverstock and Jordan Reagan all rushed for over 100 yards and each scored a touchdown. Chase Dutra and Brandon Dowers also scored for the Dogs. Dutra had a 36 yard rushing TD and Dowers with the first field goal of his career and four extra points. The defense also scored, registering a safety on the night, and yielding only 143 total yards to the Mavericks. Perry Gaines registered two and a half sacks and three solo tackles while Alex Mauck had four solo tackles, two assisted tackles, a minus tackle and a caused fumble.
