Boys XC Runs at Golden Bear Invite

The boys cross country team turned in an outstanding performance 7th place finish on Saturday at the Golden Bear Invite.  26 of the 32 runners set a new personal best.  Leading the way for the Bulldogs in the varsity race was Tyler Nolan who ran most of the race missing a shoe.  He refused to let that slow him down as he ran to a 36 second PR finishing in 16:41. He was followed closely by Charles Voglewede, Christian Hammerly, and Michael Breckler who all finished within one second of each other and all breaking the 17 minute barrier for the first time.  Rounding out the top 5 was Noah Gossett.  The JV race also saw many breakthrough performances with Alex Freeman finishing 12th in a time of 17:37. He was also followed closely by fellow freshmen Brett Heckman, Jack Copeland, and Mael Brouwer; all setting PRs.  Other JV guys running huge PRs included Austin Alley, Max Eising, Logan Buckmaster, Josh Renzi, Reed Kleis, and Caleb Shepard.
