Bulldogs Run to 3rd Place Finish

The boys' cross country team traveled to Plainfield on Saturday to kick off their season.  Despite the rain, a short delay, and soggy conditions the Bulldogs were able to finish 3^rd overall out of 15 teams.  Leading the way and running to an 8^th place finish was the duo of Christian Hammerly and Tyler Nolan.  They were followed by the pair of Charles Voglewede and Stuart Goedde in 18^th place.  In the open race Brownsburg was led by newcomer Ryan Strege with a time of 11:31 and 8^th place.  Overall the guys ran a great race and competed with intensity.

The Girls Cross Country team opened their season with a strong performance at the Plainfield Relays on Saturday as they finished the day in 3^rdplace out of 12 total teams. Running in relay pairs, the Freshman duo of Lauren Rinehart and Brooke Dixon were impressive in their first ever HS race finishing in 4^th place overall and finishing the 6 mile relay averaging just over 6 minutes per mile. Following close behind in 11^th place was the pair Gabby Bische and Carly Altier, with the pair of Emily Truax and Emma Cougill in 19^th as the final scoring pair for the team. Also placing well and making a huge contribution by pushing other teams scorers back were Grace Esterline, Anna Boone, Olivia Zoog, and Laura Sanders.
