Bulldogs Blank 14th Ranked Westfield

The boys' varsity soccer team faced off against the 14th ranked Westfield Shamrocks Tuesday night. The first half was a battle for control of the match with both teams taking turns testing the defense of their opponent. The half ended deadlocked 0-0. Ten minutes into the second half, the Shamrocks were awarded a penalty kick, but junior goalkeeper Patrick Holden met the challenge and blocked the shot. From that point on, the Bulldogs took control of the match and pressed Westfield into their defensive half. Senior Geno James was the first to score for the team, as he drove into the penalty box, beat a few defenders, and slid a ball under the outstretched arms of the goalkeeper. With ten minutes to play, Senior Troy Hale found an open Jack Griffith across the top of the goal box, who netted the Bulldogs' second goal. Final score Brownsburg 2 Westfield 0.
