Sathyamurthy Places 5th at State

Congratulations to senior Hari Sathyamurthy, who capped an amazing high school cross-country career Saturday by placing 5th overall in the Indiana state finals in Terre Haute. Hari saved his best race of the season for the state's biggest stage by traversing the challenging 3.1 mile course in a near personal record time of 15 minutes and 28 seconds, which is an average of 4 minutes and 58 seconds per mile over grass and hills.

Hari had his big fan club, some dressed in their Halloween garb, who came out to support him on the blustery day. Hari now moves on to run in the Mid-East All-Star Meet in 3 weeks, representing Indiana in this annual multistate competition among the participating states' top senior runners.
